Executive Director, Mr. Imad Mohamed has participated in the NGO Network meeting held on 7-8 August 2010 by Human Right Commission of Maldives. Mr. Imad has announced the Empowering Youth Human Right NGOs project during the meeting and call for collaboration and cooperation between civil society organizations based in Southern Atolls. He has also mentioned Huvadhoo Aid’s willingness to support Human Right Commission of the Maldives, and members of NGO Network.
The main objective of this meeting is to discuss and resolve ways in which HRCM can assist the member of the NGO Network in their work, how NGOs can support HRCM’s works and how the member NGOs can collaborate with each other. In addition to this, HRCM informed the participants on various human rights related topics.
Human Right NGO Networks is a network created by Human Right Commission of Maldives in 2009 which currently has more than 45 NGOs.
