Huvadhoo Aid Annual General Meeting 2012 had been held on 23 March 2012 at Hoadedhdhoo School. Members debated on the programmes and projects in the year 2011 and the Annual Report of the year 2011 was passed. Huvadhoo Aid’s revised bylaw had been passed in the meeting with minor amendments proposed by the members and the office bearers of the governing council under the new bylaw had been elected. Mr. Mohamed Ujail was elected as the Chairman of the governing council. Mr. Mohamed Mubarik was elected as the secretary while Mr. Hassan Manik was elected as the Treasurer. Under the revised bylaw permanent members have to elect three members to represent the governing council. As per the bylaw, 10 members were given permanent membership in the meeting.
The closing of the Annual General Meeting of Huvadhoo Aid and the Annual meeting of Heducare Preschool was held at Heducare preschool compound. Parents, members of NGOs based in the island of Hoadedhdhoo, Civil Servants and special invitees attended the meeting. A video presentation on Heducare Preschool in 2011 was played and the principal of Heducare preschool Mr. Ahmed Ameez spoke on the progress of Heducare Preschool in 2011. The Chairman of the Heducare preschhol and the Chairman elect of the Governing Council of Huvadhoo Aid spoke on the future programmes of Heducare Preschool, educational policy of the school and the importance of parent’s cooperation in progressing the school and thanked the parents for the cooperation. He also thanked Huvadhoo Aid for the assisatance given by the volunteers and financial aid given by Huvadhoo Aid for Capital Expenditure. The closing remarks were given by the Executive Director of Huvadhoo Aid Mr. Imad Mohamed. In his speech he focused on how Huvadhoo Aid had been developed over the years, the strategic objectives of Huvadhoo Aid. He also highlighted the focus areas of the organization . In this regard he spoke on the strategic objective of providing social services and noted that Heducare project is part of providing social services. He also assured that Huvadhoo Aid will continue subsidizing Heducare Preschool.
