tvebiomovies 2012 – environmental film competition

Now in its third year, tvebiomovies is a film competition open to anyone aged from 9 to 99 around the world with access to a camera. With prize money of $1500 and the chance to have a film screened at the UN COP18 Conference in Qatar, this is a truly global environmental film contest.

Entering is very simple. Visit the tvebiomovies website – www.tvebiomovies.org – and  choose one of the 5 categories. Each category covers a key environmental issue;  rivers, oceans, women and climate change, recycling or sustainable living. Think about how you would tackle this issue through film. Then tell us your ideas! Simply complete the online application form with details of your film proposal.

A judging panel will choose 2 proposals from each category and shortlisted candidates will receive $300 to help turn their ideas into film. The ten finalists will have their finished films shown at the UN COP18 Conference which takes place in November. The films will also be uploaded to the tve YouTube channel and after a period of 2 months the film from each category with the most views will win $1500!

Full competition guidelines and a chance to watch last year’s winning films can be found at www.tvebiomovies.org.

To be in with a chance, tve needs to receive entries by 5th September (23.59 GMT).

Good luck!
