Two members from Huvadhoo Aid participated in “Training on prevention, treatment and care/rehabilitation of drug use/users” workshop conducted in Chennai, India from 13 December 2010 to 17 December 2010. This workshop was conducted to the the NGOs which were funded by United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to conduct 1 year drug prevention and rehabilitation project in the islands next year. The workshop was organised by TTK hospital in partnership with Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation Services (DDPRS) Maldives and European Union. NGOs will commence the project in January 2011.
