Huvadhoo Aid Volunteers Co had been officially inaugurated on International Volunteers day by the Island Councilor Mr. Mohamed Ayaz. In the inauguration ceremoney Mr. Ayaz highlited on the need of volunteers in developmental projects in the island. Huvadhoo Aid’s Executive Director Mr. Imad Mohamed also spoke on how volunteers can bring a postive change to the community. Huvadhoo Aid Volunteers Co aims to enhance devlopment through volnteerism. It is also a part of the restructuring process of the NGO to reach to a third generation NGO. Volunteers Co is a branch of Huvadhoo Aid which has a seperate organisational structure and an excutive comittee. The president of the Volunteers Co will be included in the Huvadhoo Aid Executive Board. Volunteer co will assisst in the events of huvadhoo Aid and could also organise and conduct activities which will be funded by Huvadhoo Aid. Temperorary executive comitee had been elected in the ceremony which will last till the next Anual General Meeting.
