Huvadhoo Aid had conducted workshop on empowering Youth Human rights NGOs and strengthening the public response to combat drugs in South Huvadhoo Atoll. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Huvadhoo Association for National Development and Huvadhoo Weekly. Sessions on Introduction to human rights, chapter two of the constitution, NGOs role in ensuring human rights and proposal writing were conducted.
Apart from this Drug situation in Maldives and the introduction to drug abuse and prevention was also conducted. This workshop is part of two ongoing projects, Empowering Youth Human Rights NGOs and Strengthening the Public response to combat drugs in South Huvadhoo Atoll. Human Rights project is funded by AusAID and the drug prevention project is funded by UNDP. Youth from various NGOs of Thinadhoo participated in the workshop and the sessions were facilitated by Huvadhoo Aid’s Executive Director Mr. Imad Mohamed and Assistant Executive Director Mr. Ahmed Ameez.
