The four main categories of activities are as follows: 1) Civil society leaders from Huvadhoo Atoll, community members from Hoadedhdhoo, the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), and divers from Fish Corner (a local business on Thinadhoo) will jointly clean the harbor; 2) Local youth volunteers will plant 350 trees throughout Huvadhoo Atoll; 3) HAD will conduct an advocacy campaign to educate Hoadedhdhoo\u2019s community about climate change and raise awareness about climate change nationally. This will include a press conference held in Male\u2019 and press releases distributed to various local, national, and international media outlets; 4) HAD will organize facilitate the Youth Civil Society Climate Change Conference that is to be held in the shallow-water reef area adjacent to the harbor. During this conference youth civil society leaders from throughout Huvadhoo Atoll will discuss, vote, and sign the Maldivian Youth Climate Change Declaration. This declaration, along with an accompanying short film of the activities on the 24<sup>th<\/sup>, will be presented to world leaders at the December 2009 UNFCCC Copenhagen Negotiation.\u00a0 5) Photos of each activity with volunteers surrounding a \u201c350\u201d will be submitted to the international umbrella NGO, 350.org, which is organizing the International Day of Climate Action. These various actions were chosen to address a different aspect of climate change, since the Republic  of Maldives is one of the most vulnerable countries to its catastrophic effects.
