We strongly condemn the attack against our association last night where Rf. 600 was stolen by broking the drawer in the Youth and Sports Development Section (Y.S.D.U) In addition to this the person\/persons who entered the office through the window in the toilet has burned a jersey which was on the safe in the Executive section. This caused burning of the partition in the Executive Section. We believe that the main intention of these attacks is to bring to a standstill our projects and programmes implemented in the atoll and nationwide and halt our progress in the civil society. We also believe that this was an \u201cill act\u201d which not only affects us but also the peace and harmony in the island. In this regard call upon all the NGOs, government Institutions and Key persons in the island to work collaboratively in bringing an end to this type of attacks. We also call upon the Maldives police service to do proper investigation on these attacks and bring such criminals to the justice.
\nThese attacks will not change the pace of our progress and our projects being implemented. We will stand strong enough to face the challenges with high determination to sustain our position in the civil society.
